The self acclaimed Mayor of Lagos, Mayorkun has finally released his official song of the year, which is titled “Certified Loner (No Competition)”.

Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, known professionally as Mayorkun, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and pianist. He  released a cover of Davido’s “The Money” single and was discovered by the singer on Twitter. Mayorkun was formerly signed to Davido’s record label DMW, he is currently signed to Sony Music West Africa division.

The brand-new single is coming after the success of his critically acclaimed sophomore album, “Back in Office” released last year, which peaked at #1 with the focus track, Holy Father amassing over 40 million streams across digital platforms. 

“Certified Loner (No Competition)” is yet another demonstration of Mayorkun’s specialty in making Afropop tunes. This latest single from him is a blend of catchy punchlines, stimulating melody, and a memorable hook, that will easily have listeners engaged.
